A few years ago, I stumbled upon Machine Learning while searching for career advice online. That search led me to Data Science fields that combined my love for research, reading, and coding. But life had other plans, and I ended up pursuing a career in finance, drawn by my affinity for numbers, logic, and what felt like the most practical next step.

While finance was rewarding in many ways, I eventually found myself missing the curiosity-driven research and continuous learning I’d always been drawn to. That realization brought me back to where I started, reigniting my interest in Machine Learning and sparking a growing passion for Automation and AI. These areas sit at the intersection of everything I enjoy, and my unconventional path gives me a unique perspective on the field.

My focus has been on Natural Language Processing, and recently I have researched how internet language, cultural context, and informal communication challenge traditional models. My current research explores how sentiment analysis tools misread slang, emojis, and nonstandard English, particularly in online spaces like YouTube, TikTok, and Black Twitter.

Golden Hour Recipes is where I document my self-driven projects, reflect on my evolving journey into AI, and share snapshots of life in L.A. It’s part of my 2025 goal to build publicly, learn openly, and stay rooted in creativity.
